Trim limits the maximum dim level of a zone.  Changing the trim does not change the user interface in the Hub App, the Touch, or the Dimmer, but the affected fixture(s) maximum dim levels will still be limited.  The default trim value is 100%. 

If you have a room with several different types of fixtures with different maximum outputs, it can be useful to lower the trim for some of them to prevent hotspots in the room.

Phase Dimmer Minimum Trim Adjustment

The Phase Dimmer is pre-calibrated to support the maximum range of devices. However, depending on the load, a phase dimmer set to 1% brightness may cause certain loads to flicker or even turn completely off.  To prevent this, adjust Minimum Trim slightly until the problem is resolved.

Dimming Enabled

By default, all Lightcloud-enabled RAB fixtures are dimmable.  If you have a third party fixture that is connected to a Lightcloud Control device but the driver does not support 0-10V dimming, or you simply want to disable the ability for the fixture to dim, dimming can be disabled.

Disabling dimming will remove the dim bar from the user interface on the Hub app.  In the above example, we can see that the non-dimmable fixture does not have a dim bar, only the on/off switch.

If you disable dimming, this device will be unaffected by Daylight Harvesting if that feature is enabled.

To connect the Hub to a WiFi network: 

• Select your Hub 
• Tap the top-left menu (☰) icon 
• Tap “WiFi Setting” 

To connect to a WiFi network, tap “Fetch Available Wifi Networks.” 

Secured networks are indicated by a padlock icon. The Hub supports the following WiFi security methods: 

• WPA2 Personal 

• WPA3 Personal 
• WPA3 Enterprise 

Select the network from the list and enter the password (if required) and select Connect. 

Once connected, the WiFi LED will turn solid blue, “Wifi Status” will show “Connected” and an “IP Address” will be assigned. Now that the Hub is connected to the internet it will download new updates when they become available. 

To change WiFi networks, tap “Forget Current Network.” The Hub will disconnect from the current Wifi network, the Wifi LED will turn off, and you can connect to a new network.

An Area is a group of devices that can be controlled and configured together. For example, an area could be created for a conference room that contains multiple light fixtures, sensors and controls such as dimmers. Unlike traditional Lightcloud systems, Hub areas can be used to configure area-wide behaviors, such as advanced occupancy sensing with daylight harvesting. 

Create Area 

1. Connect to your Hub. 

2. Click “Areas” in bottom navigation (the default landing screen is area). 

3. Click on the floating (+) plus button to create an area. 

4. A prompt will appear for the new area’s name. Type in the area’s name and tap save. 

Add / Remove Devices to / from area 

1. Connect to your Hub and go to the Area screen. 

2. Tap the options button (three dots) on the area you wish to modify. 

3. The Area’s options appear in a menu. 

4. Tap “Add/Remove Devices.” 

5. A menu will appear that displays all devices organized by area. Tap to assign or remove devices. 

6. Click save. 

Note:  

1. Multiple devices can be selected to add/remove. 

2. A device can only be assigned to one area. 

3. After adding or removing devices, the area may automatically reconfigure based on the new devices. For example, if all sensors are removed from an area, the area will no longer be able to operate in Occupancy Mode. Area settings can always be changed on the area settings screen. 

Rename Area 

1. Connect to your Hub and go to the Area screen. 

2. Tap the options button (three dots) on the area you wish to modify. 

3. Tap “Rename.” 

4. A prompt will appear. Enter the new name and tap “Save.” 

Configure Area 

1. Connect to your Hub and go to the Area screen. 

2. Tap the options button (three dots) on the area you wish to modify. 

3. Tap “Edit” 

4. Change settings as necessary and tap “Save.” Changes may affect devices in the area. For instance, changing the Max Dim Limit of the area may set the current dim level of some lights to the new maximum. 

Controlling the Area 

1. Connect to your Hub and go to the Area screen. 

2. If an area is controllable, it will show control elements such as a toggle button to turn it on/off or slider to control its dim or CCT levels. 

Note: Control changes will be made immediately. There is no need to save them first. 

Delete Area 

1. Connect to your Hub and go to the Area screen. 

2. Tap the options button (three dots) on the area you wish to modify. 

3. Tap “Delete.” 

4. A prompt will appear to confirm deletion. 

5. Tap “Confirm” to delete the selected area.

Fill out all necessary information (first and last name, phone number, email and password) according to the requirements for each field and press “Create Account” button. 

If the account has been created successfully you will be informed with a message and after pressing “OK” redirected to “Sign in screen”. 

User Sign In and Password Recovering 

To sing in to the app use your user credentials you’ve created during “User Account Creation”  process. Enter your user’s email and password and press “Sign In” button. Optionally you can turn on “Remember Password” toggle to save your credentials into the keychain for the future usage during Sign in and “Use Face ID” to use Face ID to sign in. If you forgot your password – click “Forgot password”, enter the account’s email you want to recover password for and press “OK”.
